It could have been removed, but not sure if it was that or if I just messed up, so I just deleted the post.

I didn't realize you had answered. Things that make ya wonder about this tyrannical Twitter! I can't wait until Trump's website opens!
I heard there was an app we need, maybe not for the site, but maybe.
Also, another app for when certain things go dark? I'm not sure where to even go to find it again.

I don't know if you knew, my old cell phone just stopped (turned off deliberately?) and they immediately sent me a new one, a smartphone. I  was and still am furious, I never wanted one of these! I leave it in the bathroom where I always charged the other one, and was told to keep it on. Okay. The only thing I have done with it, well, I had someone that was over here do this for me, so it would be quick. I know how to call for a pick up, and to call home to talk to my  fur babies when I am gone, lol.
I am pathetic!

Smartphones!    ... Don't even get me started on that subject !!   

I had to abandon my beloved cell phone, which was perfect for my needs (make calls; received calls; take messages) because "AT&T no longer supports ..."  -- I think it was 4G, or maybe 3G

They told me they had a fliptop which would replace it, which I went and spent (can't remember, maybe around $60+/-) for, and bought minutes for it.
Turns out, it also was a bit of a "smartphone", but disguised to look like a fliptop.  

Anyway, it is sitting in a drawer in my house, unusable in my opinion.

My niece tried to teach me how to use a smartphone, but I never had much luck learning how to use that either.
My hands aren't steady enough, and I kept touching the wrong parts of it.  

In any event, here I am, no phone to take with me if I'm out and about, and I don't feel comfortable going too far from home without that backup/"insurance policy" feature that kept me comfortable traveling here and there over the past nearly 20 years.

I know exactly what you mean! I didn't want any part of this type phone, but couldn't avoid it.I suspect those that don't have one at all, will have it  forced on them, for free. Still trying to avoid it as much as possible.

But there ARE things I need to learn on it! I have no plans to use it to search, come to BTF, etc., but I don't like the unreal bombardment of Mike Lindell's My Pillow Ads!! Good grief! THAT I need to know, as to how to block.

I guess if our power goes out, which I am 98% sure it will, because of this storm, I'll have plenty of time to do many things that don't get done. And one of them is reading the directions to this phone.

It sounds like we could get up to an inch of ice, and like I said before, our power lines already are lousy, needing to be replaced, or put underground.

My Granddaughter is planning to move close to where I am, and please join me in prayer that this happens! 
If she is close enough to see me often (which we both want), then she will be able to help me get this phone situation figured out.  
It will probably take a few months to accomplish, but she and I are both "visualizing" it happening along with praying for it, and I have faith it will happen sooner rather than later, God Willing.  

Where she is now is about 2 1/2 hours away.  Five minutes away would be hugely better for both of us !!

It looks like we are getting a lot of snow also. If so, it's going to be pretty, but my pup is going to probably have to use a potty paper, lol! I doubt she will want anything to with this, especially ice.

I've got chicken strips and pork chops to cook up, and the last batch of broccoli and cauliflower. I know I'm weird, but I can eat this cold or room temperature if I have to. I had a Walmart home delivery a little while ago. Lots of oranges and apples.
I have one of those little burners that uses this candle-like thing, and a cup to go with it. If I am desperate for coffee or hot chocolate, I have instant, but I think you have to use it outside.  Like I said, IF I'm desperate.

I also have this little grill, the one that you can use fuel, sticks, or charcoal. If we have a long period of power being out,  I may have to cook up meats in the freezer.

Staying warm won't be a problem for me, already being on the emergency back-up battery, since last winter. Believe me, I am so grateful for that!

I have plenty of canned foods, water, toilet water in five gallon buckets, if needed. Lots of batteries, I can watch local tv on this little 6 incher, and play music or listen to a radio station on a radio. I even have that emergency radio you turn the handle, lol.

It won't be great, but I can get by!

Well, let's hope it doesn't get that bad, but it is comforting to know you are prepped for it if it does.

My cream of celery soup is finished, and am having a cup of it now with crackers.  
I don't like the store-bought celery soup, but love the homemade kind.
