So most people came here from GeeElPee via Fringe thing?

The GLP peeps call it the 'Pickle Purge':
That occurred around the same time COP went down.
I jumped that sinking ship a little before that with a couple of others.

When that went downhill this place was created by most of the MODS there and most of us followed.
So we're really four groups that came together here: The original TF, GLP, COP and ION all in one place!

I think the original group formed from LOP.  Then there was another glop massacre and a bunch found their way to the fringe.  Then we picked up some more castaways when ION and COP closed.

So how are things paid here?
Are there donation runs? I don't mind donating to forums I use and enjoy.

I think the Admin cover it they self.  Never do I see a donation button or anyone even ask for it.
@Catch say this place paid for in full for years to come already.

That the old forum. Owner was a crack head, he steal everyone donation
smoke it up, never come online only to show him face once in a while.

@Catch decide to start this place and he bring over all the Mods, and most members.

The Fringe hang on for about a year more then the Owner just give up and close it down.
The remaining member who cross posting between both place either stay here, or not post anywhere.

I looking for information one day and it lead me to The Fringe.
They all min the middle of the Transition to this place, so I hang
about watching it all. Then I join up here when it very clear what happening.

Most of the people here now all been together for over a decade. 
Everyone seem to have travel together from all the different splinter
site that come after GLP.  LOP, ION, TOP, COP, The Fringe, etc-etc.

Only a few new people like me here with all of you now. But Most of this group stay together fo long time now.

I come from the big phone forums. I find these people almost by accident. I like it, so I stay around.
Not everyone like me though   That ok, big family do that.

It was sad.
COP was my first forum and it was great.
Most everyone from there found their way to TF but not all.
Watching it go down really wasn't pretty and that's why we left but it worked out.
Everyone at TF was so nice and welcoming when many were going through a hard time with the loss of it.

When Trinity decided he didnt like Trump and Banned Comedian at glp. Someone reached out to him to come to the Fringe, and some very cool posters followed him.

My route here was GLP, AE, LOP, AE, the Fringe  and BTF

Others stopped off at ION and COP

@Catch is our benefactor. He pays the rent and utilities.  He also will accept donations but he has never asked for any.
I have never heard anything about the owner of the Fringe being a druggie or misusing donations.  My understanding was that he had a new wife and child and was neglecting the forum. .

So, chillbro  was the admin of The Fringe?

I don't know, I was never a part of GP.
I just remember we were all coming in to TF around the same time.
Maybe three years ago or so?
