Generally found in the 105-120 IQ range. These are the people who are considered "gifted" in primary school and perhaps "honors" in high school. In the same vein, they either think of themselves as "smart but lazy" or perform well in school yet do poorly/mediocre on standardized testing. May attend a low-tier university or none at all. Almost always very online, with strong opinions that lack nuance.

Hey, I got lost down the turtle hole in the last couple days. I realized that not only I but the people I know near have the same questions. So, last night we got Cooter Browned and even a draw board was broke out. Exhausted from being around warriors of high intellect and common sense and one of them brought up space travel the corcksucker and derailed us over an hour. Long story short. Instant gratification is the problem. We are not from that reality.

Speaking of Space Travel, it looks like there's some "friction" between the two big providers.

The Deep Truth In The Midwit Meme

There is a meme that well describes the intellectual separation we see in many areas. I’m not sure of the name of this meme, but Beige Shiba called it the midwit meme, which is apt.

The far ends of the scale are united against the middle. It either takes no effort, or you are born with the inability, to be at the low end. It takes immense or unusual dedication, or you are born with the ability, to be at the top.
The middle extends part way to the bottom and the top, representing, for example, those with college degrees and professorships respectively. The middle never reaches either extreme. It is the home of theorists and people who say “ackchyually”. The “I f****** Science” crowd and bureaucrats live here, as does every propagandist and the majority of politicians.
Though we do not have to take “IQ” as a rigorous numerical description of ability, it is now customary to call these middle people midwits. It fits.
Roger Scruton in an interview made the meme come to life:
