The biggest part of the gasoline function is how to efficiently burn it so as to need less, by completely burning the fuel and not having any unburned fuel left over.  There have been attempts at recovering some of the unburned fuel as a result of the various cylinder and piston shapes that allow some of the gas to escape. And now the big deal is 9 speed transmissions.

Of course I know this won't be possible since I have a big puddle of oil underneath my car.

I get it, full Zombie avoidance vessel. I presume marine batteries are different to the packs loaded in cars. I'd prefer diesel engines- tried, tested and burns clean. 

But you can't have have it, whilst those telling you you cannot have it fly above you in their private jets!
