09-30-2021, 03:34 PM Your connection is not private warning?
I'm having trouble accessing BTF and a few other sites today. Does it have anything to do with this?
https://www.tomsguide.com/news/internet-...ct-sept-30
and if it does...is there anything that can be done?
Thank you

I'm running XP with Service Pack 3 so it shouldn't be a problem but it is. Clicking the like button works only sometimes too.

Well, XP isn't able to receive NEW certificates and updates, so it IS the problem.
Mainstream support for Windows XP ended on April 14, 2009, and extended support ended on April 8, 2014, after which the operating system ceased receiving further support or security updates. Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, based on Windows XP Professional, received security updates until April 2019.
Think about upgrading to Linux ~ I'd recommend Linux Mint, Cinnamon edition ~ you'll feel right at home.

Many programs that I use don't run on Linux and "security" seemed less secure with each spac that came out. Same as each new windows os that was released.

You can easily run a VIRTUAL version of Windows XP within Linux that actually runs FASTER than XP stand-alone. Your programs will run...better.
Running a VM within Linux is not slow, cumbersome or boggy.
I call that having your cake and eating it, too.

Maybe not as good, but easier to install remedy is dual boot...
Install Linux alongside XP as dual boot system - use Linux for internet and XP for proprietary software...
I did that for a while when I still used Sibelius programme that is not Freeware...
I do not know everything, I know just enough to know that I know nothing - which is just a little more than those who think they know anything!
