The NWS has already begun issuing winter storm #warnings as #forecast #models begin to nail down the track and intensity of this thing. However, there are still a lot of moving parts and questions that we are gonna try to answer so you can be as #informed as possible.

In case =CM= is still reading posts, this is why those snow plows were practicing on your street last fall.

After all the snow and cold, it got into the 50’s here, with more rain. Snow levels went uo to 7k feet, but more snow is headed our way, increasing the avalanche risk in the mountains. They were only able to get 1 pass open. Leavenworth has the national guard helping dig them out of 4 feet of snow.
Giant snow dumps turned into avalanche, landslide and flooding issues.

The couple whose house was pushed off the foundation was finally able to rescue 1 of their 2 dogs lost in the event.
After 6 days. The owner heard whining and started digging.
Damn, how could they wait so long. I know they thought both dogs were dead, but how do you not…check?
Maybe they both would have come out if someone had tried sooner. Or maybe the other dog is still alive and trapped… guess the risk to human life was to prohibitive.

This is the first I've heard of this. Sad, indeed. Do you know how about how many inches, or feet, needed to be removed to rescue the pup?

I haven't had a chance to watch this, but by the comments, he, Nate Snyder, also has a strong following. I'm curious how close he and Ryan Hall line up, and if there are differences. Just another eye on it!
