If society fell apart, we - the people would build a new one. Most people are good at their core, and when we see things that are wrong we work to fix them together. Make friends with your neighbors, get involved with your community - because we will rebuild our lives, our communities, from horrible circumstances we always will.

Leavenworth has the national guard helping dig them out of 4 feet of snow.
Giant snow dumps turned into avalanche, landslide and flooding issues.

The couple whose house was pushed off the foundation was finally able to rescue 1 of their 2 dogs lost in the event.
After 6 days. The owner heard whining and started digging.
Damn, how could they wait so long. I know they thought both dogs were dead, but how do you not…check?
Maybe they both would have come out if someone had tried sooner. Iwish  Or maybe the other dog is still alive and trapped… guess the risk to human life was to prohibitive.

Oh my heart.
Iwish
For a second pup rescue.

This is the first I've heard of this. Sad, indeed. Sad Do you know how about how many inches, or feet, needed to be removed to rescue the pup?

I can’t say. The house got pushed off of the foundation, but was accessible. They had to chainsaw their way through the structure to get the first dog out, so it is collapsed and catywampus. Might just not be safe.

Thanks. Hopefully, if this other pup is still alive, he will resurface, if he was in the structure.

It's so nasty this morning that even my chubby, lunatic dog hurried up to pee.  Usually he has to sniff around,  bark at the sky and wander aimlessly first

Never heard the term, 'Saskatchewan screamer' before... is this more climate change fear nomenclature?

'Saskatchewan screamer' winter storm is set to lash parts of Northern Plains, Midwest, Southeast and Tennessee Valley with up to a FOOT of snow while Tri-state area faces dangerous winds of up to 60mph...

The full moon couple with strong winds with gust over 35mph are likely to make for coastal flooding

I may be wrong but 'Big Foot' and gang are known for their screams. It's said they can sound lie a woman screaming, or a baby crying. 60 mph might be a screamer. This newest vid, below, Ryan Hall is calling for 100 mph winds, like a hurricane. Definitely in that category, so far as a screamer!
