I wanted to share a recent 'experiment' I felt I needed to do regarding our cat Arlo. He's 6 and our Maggie is about to turn 15. I thought by adopting a kitten, she'd be 'top dog' and that they'd probably get along better than if we adopted an adult cat. I couldn't have been more wrong.

He's been pretty aggressive with her since he entered the house and we constantly have to keep on him, scold and separate them at times. I took a leap of faith and bought some Hemp oil for pets from Amazon. Never tried it (have used Rescue Remedy in the past but after a fashion it wasn't helping anymore), had very few but positive reviews and was only $10 for two bottles.

Been using it a week now and it really seems to be doing the job. Skipped one night on purpose to see if he'd revert, and sure enough there was a scuffle in the middle of the night.

Thought I'd share the info in case anyone has an aggressive cat (for dogs too), or a pet in pain, has allergies, etc.

Years ago I had that very thing happen to me! 

Had pair of touch bedside lamps.  Just the thing for early rising in the dark so as to not knock over the lamp when arising.  Had two cats...  And after about a month, those lamps became living room lamps and the manual ones moved into the bedroom.

There was no other solution.
