Ted Cruz FAA unfit to handle next generation of air travel.

And Peter buttplug is the secretary of transportation over the FAA regardless of who they finally put in as administrator.   Facepalm

So let me get this all straight.

The FAA administrator that has been appointed by the likes of Obummer has no idea about aviation. But has to somehow adhere to some ignorant body of congress regarding this drone situation that has been delayed action for at least a couple of decades.  Since they have no idea what to do even though drones flying in uncontrolled airspace below any real interference, they consult corporations that have no idea either.  But like all corporations want to serve their own personal conflicts of interests.  Then require something all the time drafted by another standards committee and yeah just approve whatever senseless garbage comes along even if it is not a viable solution and enforce it under law.  And groups like the ama have to re-educate the faa and encourage the faa to allow them to do what they've always done before.  All over some made up modeled scenario, just like the Corona virus so they can justify the problem reaction end solution that was already sitting on the shelf. Then since the faa lacks any man power to enforce anything, they call on law enforcement to try to figure out if they have any idea what to look for.  Stadiums don't want to lose ticket sales to a toy drone and call it a safety hazard.

All seems like a situation mentioned in my not that unusual thread, but would not expect the irony of the faa going that route. Possible pun!

Can't compete with DJI's Aeroscope for remote ID or some other reason?

Getting behind in approving FRIAs just so you don't have to have a remote ID module, but required everywhere else?

Or that the whole campaign is falling on its' head and is a desperate attempt to get everyone on board with a poorly conceived idea?

No, just that maybe if it was on the compliance list that maybe you could use the number that is already there that is already registered. But now it has to have a few extra characters to go along with it to make it remote ID registered.

FAA still struggling to stay afloat as reauthorization is still in progress and apparently Biden nominee for the position Phil Washington has stepped aside facing stiff criticism.
