Beyond The Fringe Farm Critters Thread - Chickens, goats, pigs, cows, etc
The back side of the wall. I set up a camp sink for washing up. The machine is covered with a garbage bag. Not the best option, but it's all I have at the moment.

The machine. I bought the jars and lids from the Simple Pulse company. They sell a complete system but I already had a lot of the components from another system. So I made a crate to fit the jars and the vacuum pump.

Two days ago there was a skinny pig in the neighbor's pasture. She squeezed past our front gate and has taken up residence in our yard. I fed her some parasite medicine mixed in some milk. This morning the grandsons gave her more milk and grain. She is welcome to hang out and join the clan. The boys call her dirt pig. She is very dirty.

This was my inspiration. The only thing I can't figure out is how to milk all four teats at a time. Whenever I try, I lose suction and they all fall off. So I only milk two at a time.

Jeremy has done so much to present the hardships and the LOVE of farming and raising animals. Never a dull moment.

Animal Rising eco-mob takes lambs off King Charles's land insisting they're 'saving them'

Activists crept onto the estate last night, before bundling the lambs into the back of a van to save them from "slaughter".
