Damn I love my old boat. A 79 15' Ebbtide with a 81 Evinrude 70 on it. It sat in my back 40 for three months with old gas in it. It started right up at the ramp. It coughed and stuttered a bit after getting on plane. But once all the varnish was out it took off like a raped rabbit.
She will do a blazing 30 MPH at wot. I never run WOT on anything for very long. So she runs at 24 mph all day long. Nope you ain't pulling a skier.
But she is set up for fishing. And does it well.
Now is the time to get out of the trenches

As for Sea worthiness there is a reason why emergency services used them for decades, no turning circle but punches the swell on a cloud. It's a plate boat as well. When we were diving all the time in Cuba, if not entering the coral reefs from shore we dove from a barrel boat. It's all about stability extracting from the deep. Plus your tired. I really like that boat. It projects a good feel. I hope that doesn't come across to wierd. Don't be weird man
In action and sheer size

2800 blows out the width by a foot and offers a much bigger craft.

The only boat I have now is a sit-on-top kayak. My sailboat was lost in a fire and I never replaced it. I sold the other boats when I needed money.
I’ve had more fun with that kayak than any boat I’ve been involved with. It has been in the water more often than all the others combined.

In Aus to tow over 2.5mts wide is oversize and to much pissing around. So Trailerable craft.
Surtees NZ, there was a split and a new team started in Aus named Bar Crusher.
Too wide for towing.
![[Image: xFTp3cU.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/xFTp3cU.jpg) That's like the boat we fished off in Alaska. It belongs to a friend of my brother. It has a cook stove that he has used for heat if he sleeps on it with his dog. Really nice craft. Was it one of these Flyover? Selling a lot of craft.
