It’s worth considering that JFK’s physical hold on life had long been tenuous. He was a chronically and often acutely ill individual both prior to and throughout his presidency, taking massive amounts of many medications for his lengthy list of ailments.

His very poor health may have in fact indirectly caused his death (as I learned for the first time today). Snip from a very interesting piece detailing his health woes:

https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc...fk/309469/

“Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy before the president’s medical ailments could. But the evidence suggests that Kennedy’s physical condition contributed to his demise. On November 22, 1963, Kennedy was, as always, wearing a corset-like back brace as he rode through Dallas. Oswald’s first bullet struck him in the back of the neck. Were it not for the back brace, which held him erect, the second, fatal shot to the head might not have found its mark.”
He must increase, but I must decrease. (Jn. 3:30, ERV)

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?" Death thought about it. "CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE."

Dunno @hannah. Try again. This one is shorter and a little more entertaining, IMO. I'll double link it.
