Four male suspects have been arrested in the rape of a Louisiana State University sorority member after she was later dumped on the side of the road and fatally struck by a car following a night of drinking, police said.

Kaivon Deondre Washington, 18, Everett Lee, 28, and Casen Carver, 18, turned themselves in Monday, more than a week after 19-year-old Madison Brooks was fatally struck in Baton Rouge, the Advocate reported.

A fourth suspect, a 17-year-old boy who had not been identified because he is a minor, turned himself in on Sunday, the outlet reported.

Brooks had been drinking at Reggie’s, a bar near the LSU campus where she met the 17-year-old suspect on Jan. 15, the newspaper reported.

He noted that three of the suspects are underage, “yet were able to consume alcohol at a local bar. As such, our action plan starts with a deep and relentless focus on any establishment that profits off our students by providing alcohol to underage individuals.”

The world has went crazy. When I was in high school in the late 60's there were a few kids that got the crap beat out of them. Some rightly so. But never a murder or mutilation in the state of Idaho. Now in the last twelve months 13 kids under 25 have been killed including the four in Moscow. What is it. Bad parenting. Drugs. Violent TV including video games. Or just society in general. 

The devil is working overtime. Even in the safe area I live in I never leave the house without a side arm. My neighbor laughed saying i was the first one he has seen wearing a gun while using a mower or tractor. 
How safe do any of you feel going to a grocery store, or other shopping place. I am going to a gun show in about a month. I will feel safe there.

I can't imagine going alone to a bar to drink. Always have a buddy. Never leave with a stranger, especially four of them. What can you say.

< Investigators said she had a blood-alcohol content of 0.319% — nearly four times the legal limit.> This sounds like she wasn't in any condition to make a decision on being willing to have sex. This lawyer is going to get eaten up.

Was she drunk before she met them? Or did they encourage her to drink more? Or encourage or force her to drink in the car?

This has similar tones of that young girl who was burned in her car, years ago. Prayers for all of them for the poor choices made, but especially to the parents of this young woman. Prayers for the person that accidentally ran over her, he or she must be beside themselves in pain. Tragic, unbelievably sad.

Yea a tragedy all around. She was young and made bad choices but she did not deserve this. When I was young and in college we over indulged and it was often not pretty but I always went out in groups  (mixed male and female) and we looked after each other. I would never go out alone and NEVER would we allow one of our group to leave with someone we did not know well. It was part or our survival instinct.

I feel so sorry for her family. Such a beautiful lady taken in her prime. 

These young ones have to learn the law of the jungle or this will happen to them. Life is not all smart phones and social media. It is brutal when you get down to the basics, so sad to say.

.319 is an insane BAC but especially for someone of that age. 0.4 can kill.

The fact is the vast majority of college students don’t belong there in the first place. Too immature, devoid of direction and primarily interested in partying. Not interested in pursuing knowledge for its own sake or even the (far less) noble reason of pursuing or furthering a career.

She was most certainly one of these. Doesn’t mean she deserved to die but if she had had better guidance and foundation in her life especially from parents she would very likely still be alive.

Very sad.
