Nun’s body seemingly incorrupt 4 years after burial, some call it a ‘miracle in Missouri’

GOWER, Mo. (KCTV) - The small town of Gower, Missouri, is getting hundreds of visitors this week as people come from all over for what could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster, founder of the Benedictine Sisters of Mary, passed away in May of 2019. She was known for her devotion to the Traditional Latin Mass and her faithfulness to Benedictine contemplation and the Liturgy of the Hours, according to the Catholic News Agency.

Four years later, the sisters decided to dig up her remains and place them under an altar in the chapel.

They expected to find bones. Instead, inside her wooden coffin with a crack down the middle, they found her intact body. It appeared to be incorrupt.

It’s now being called “a miracle in Missouri.”

People of the Catholic faith have been pouring into the town for a chance to see, touch and pray with Sister Lancaster.

“People are looking for a miracle,” said Gina McKee. “They’re looking for hope. They’re on their knees.”

If you would like to witness Sister Lancaster’s body, you can do so at the monastery until May 29.

“It’s neat to think about the stories we read about, happening in our own time,” said James Merrick, “blessing and making sacred our own time.”

Bishop James Johnston of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph released the following statement regarding Sr. Wilhemina:

“The condition of the remains of Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster has understandably generated widespread interest and raised important questions. At the same time, it is important to protect the integrity of the mortal remains of Sister Wilhelmina to allow for a thorough investigation.

I invite all the Faithful to continue praying during this time of investigation for God’s will in the lives of the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles; for all women religious; and all the baptized in our common vocation to holiness, with hope and trust in the Lord.”

Makes you wonder if the 1st and 2nd Gulf Wars didn't "unleash" something.
I served in both and I always had a creepy feeling when in the A.O. of Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

I served in both and I always had a creepy feeling when in the A.O. of Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

I am intrigued by this.  I am about a decade behind you, but have heard similar comment from friends who served in that era.  I also heard a similar thing said of Huntsville, Texas where there is a large amount of prison farms/units.  People have told me that as they came into the edge of the city, they seemingly felt as if a heaviness came over them.  (I lived there about 15 years)

I personally think that powers and principalities have shifted their centers of operation to the western nations, and particularly North America, and find it interesting that the 90s seem to be a common timeframe.

So I am now sure I have a Guardian Angel.

I was doing my routine of cutting 2x2 and 1x1 steel stock to replace rust sections of the porch railing.

Using my cut-off grinder with a new DeWalt thin cutting disc (as I have done countless times) I was trimming a 1x1 boxed steel tube and the disc BLEW UP.

Shrapnel hit me through my jeans in the groin, took a hunk of skin off a knuckle and cut the flesh of my face from the bottom of my earlobe to the edge of my mouth, like straight across my jaw bone.  Bled like crazy so I bandaged it after pouring peroxide over it and headed for the hospital.

A dozen stitches later (after the nurse shaved my beard) all is well.  Total hospital bill with my pensionado was $9.00.

I am sure my Guardian Angel was with me, as if it were an inch lower under my jawbone, I would have bled out in minutes as it would have cut my jugular vein.
My wife was at the beach with friends.

Guess I am to remain here for a bit longer.  

I have never trusted cut-off wheels.  Porta-band saw all the way for me !!  Or liquid wrench (aka torch)

I've thought this for a long time.
Years ago, during the BO administration, this Scripture was strong in my mind many times.  ... The abomination of desolation is standing in the Holy place.

Matthew 24:15 ...
15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)


You see, I believe our nation came into being through God's Plan, and so "the holy place" was (and should still be) the office of POTUS.
There have been several very corrupt people holding that office, but none so evil as BO.  

Anyway, I thought it then and I still hold the same opinion.
