If society fell apart, we - the people would build a new one. Most people are good at their core, and when we see things that are wrong we work to fix them together. Make friends with your neighbors, get involved with your community - because we will rebuild our lives, our communities, from horrible circumstances we always will.

When I was a kid (about 8-14) my uncle who lived in very rural Alabama made "Shine". When we would go visit, I would help him haul sugar, corn, yeast, cut wood and clean the still between runs (he would slip me several $20's before we left - alot of money for a kid in the 60's-70's) In return, he taught me the art of making Moonshine.... One thing I did learn is that the mash cooked in the still caked the inside of the cooker and coils. No matter how much you cleaned it, just making what was called a "water run" to clean out the system always left an off taste to the water condensed out. You will still need a dedicated water still.....
