Gardening and Food Growing
I received some good news yesterday. A former neighbour that I spent years helping, was so pleased with himself whilst telling me that he had remembered everything that I taught him in the garden and he has strawberries, tomatoes and chilli's growing on his balconies with herbs. He's hoping to move again in the next year, his heart is longing for a house with a garden for his son, family and animals. He has a dog, two cats, rabbits and birds.  Chuckle

He'd like to grow a lot more.

The last couple of years, I've really fancied a Wisteria, but wasn't willing to pay £30 for one. So a friend has taken a cutting from her Wisteria and hope to grow it in a container on the doorstep.

Done my trips to local farms, got flats to plant, most flowers I did last week, but not the vegetables.

Anyway - here's some links. The only one I have bought from so far is Healing Spirits.
I used their stinging nettle for my dog, and now also my cat.

Finally got most of my garden experiment planted!  Last year, we went to grow bags, which worked pretty well until the entire state got baked.

Saw a youtube video about grow bags in kiddie pools.  I am so easily influenced. OMG. We're giving it a try. But now Hubby wants to bring in a (dump) truck load of gravel to level the playing field. Which is quite doable because of the bags and the pools will definitely work better if the ground is somewhat level.

The jungle at the back is what is left of my formerly magnificent blackberry patch, which was freaking decimated by Japanese beetles last year. Back to almost square one. Sigh. I LOVE blackberries.

This time of year always makes me smile because the catalpa tree is blooming. Years ago we adopted a 9 1/2-year-old border collie that had spent her life in a puppy mill (cudos to the rescue that saved her). She loved to lay under the catalpa when the blossoms were falling around her. She only lived for another 3 1/2 years, but I still love the memory of her lying so happily in the catalpa snow.  If I can find the pic, I'll put it in the dog thread.

Hope y'all are having a great day today!
