They let her come home today at 4pm.

She will drink water but won't have anything to do with food yet. They had her doped up pretty good. She wobbles when she walks. She has 2 bottles of pills for her stomach and 2 bottles of pills that are for anxiety, pain and anti depressant.

They untwisted her stomach, looked for damage to other organs, removed her uterus and sewed her stomach to the inside wall to prevent gdv from recurring. I'm just glad she is home and I hope she gets back to something resembling normal.

Glock has said it will only be for sale on Military and LE contract, not for the civilian market. I wasn't very excited for it anyhow tbh. It does nothing my other AR15s can't already do.

Ive been doing a good bit of reading about gun cleaners, solvents, lubricants, grease, etc... So I thought Id pose the question what kind of stuff do you use to clean your guns?

I normally use hoppes no 9 or breakfree clp. If encountering a bore that is gunked up I will use something that has TCE in it (blue cap winchester gun wash works wonders). I know that people warn against using ammonia based solvents or at least warn against leaving it in very long and its advised to flush with water after use but Ive never flushed a barrel after using hoppes and it contains a small amount of ammonia but Ive read that in hoppes the ammonia reacts differently because of its formula, something to do with oleic acid or something along those lines.

As for grease I use tetra where applicable and have never had a problem with it. I will also use automotive white lithium and lucas red n tacky. For oil/lube I prefer lucas red or the high heat green kind but have been known to use hoppes elite. I also keep a 5 quart jug of full synthetic motor oil in case shtf and the good stuff is no longer available.

As for cleaning tools I only run bore snakes down my rifle and shotgun barrels. I use a plastic rod that is slotted at the end for patching handgun barrels and another plastic rod that is threaded on the end for a brush.

So, what say you?

I use Hoppe's Number 9 and have been doing so since I was a kid.

For lubrication I use CLP.

With old guns (antique) I acquire that have a cruded up bore, I have been known to go at it with Dawn dish detergent, hot water and a brass bore brush.  Then rinse and repeat.

I have a nifty range cleaning kit I picked up on sale at Amazon.  It is made by Otis.  Most importantly, it has threaded brass rods which can be put together for the appropriate length.  Then a small brass hammer can be used to tap the brass rods to remove squib rounds from my AR-15.

I use Ballistol and have used Kroil on occasion because I get it free from work.

I also use Otis bore snakes.  They're just good
