Vermont senator expands lead over Biden to 10 points

By Eli Yokley February 13, 2020 at 12:31 pm ET
  • 29% of Democratic primary voters back Sen. Bernie Sanders, up 4 points since before the N.H. primary.

  • 17% say Joe Biden has the best chance of beating President Trump in 2020, down 12 points from before Tuesday’s result.
Following his narrow victory in New Hampshire’s Democratic presidential primary — his second successive strong showing in the party’s first nominating contests — Sen. Bernie Sanders opened up a double-digit lead over former Vice President Joe Biden and entrenched himself as the best-positioned candidate heading into next week’s Nevada caucuses.

Sanders now leads the Democratic presidential candidates among Texas voters, but Donald Trump maintains a slight lead over each of the top Democrats in the race, according to the latest University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll.

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders has doubled his support among Democratic voters in Texas and now leads the race for that party’s presidential nomination in Texas, according to the latest University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll.

Sanders had the support of 24% of the self-identified Democratic primary voters in the poll, up from 12% in October. Sanders passed both former Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the two leaders in the October 2019 UT/TT Poll. Early voting in the Texas primaries starts on Tuesday; election day — Super Tuesday — is March 3.

Well, they are college kids who don't have a job and are living off mom and dad.

The polls were conducted at the University of Austin and Texas Tech.

Which is why I have been giving a lot of thought to seeing if we can reinstate the property voter rights.

Citizens that own property, or maybe even pay rent, should be the only ones voting...it is something we need to consider.

Especially now that minorities and women own property and pay rent, the dems can't use that as an excuse.

College kids should not vote if they are living off their 'rents.

Great point,
I have always thought the passing of the law to allow younger people to vote was a early ploy by demoncrappers because they had plans to start brainwashing the school kids to become demoncrappers.

Poll: Sanders leads Dem field in Nevada
The survey, conducted earlier this week, finds the Vermont senator ahead of Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren in next week's first-in-the-West caucuses.

Bernie Sanders is leading the 2020 Democratic field in Nevada, according to a survey released Friday, with the Vermont senator’s campaign showing momentum ahead of the third presidential nominating contest next week.

The Nevada poll, conducted by the GOP polling firm WPA Intelligence on behalf of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and AARP Nevada, reports that 25 percent of the state’s likely Democratic caucusgoers support Sanders. Former Vice President Joe Biden comes in second place with 18 percent of respondents, followed by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren with 13 percent.

“I’m enjoying the irony of American [Bernie] Sanders supporters lecturing me, a former Soviet citizen, on the glories of Socialism and what it really means! Socialism sounds great in speech soundbites and on Facebook, but please keep it there. In practice, it corrodes not only the economy but the human spirit itself, and the ambition and achievement that made modern capitalism possible and brought billions of people out of poverty…Income inequality is a huge problem, absolutely. But the idea that the solution is more government, more regulation, more debt, and less risk is dangerously absurd.”

Author~ Former World Chess Champion Garry Kasparov grew up under the Soviet system, and so he’s well-acquainted with socialism in practice.
