I'm having a pimento cheese sandwich, but I can look at your pic and pretend it's NY strip. Steak getting to room temp, salted. Potato in a salt water brine (I like to eat the skin so want it flavored) Japs for later...

Blue Rare. Nice LOL, No will be med rare, but I let sit out for about 2 hours prior to grilling. The meat grills more evenly and tenderly that way. Throwing a COLD steak on the grill tends to make it seize up and be tougher in my experience.

This old half German dude has been craving a Reuben.
German, Irish, Greek. No wonder I'm a .mess. Being a Pisces doesn't help either.
I feel ya I am going to take one weekend and have a dish each for all of my heritages. Except for Scottish. I refuse to eat haggis

Of love becomes a lie
That bears the scar of sin too deep
To hide behind this fear
Of running unto you
Please let there be light

Grilled cheese, tomato soup, wicked pickles, potato chips for him...me, I'm drinking.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?" Death thought about it. "CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE."

Eating well in the neighborhood!
Great thread and I'm glad to see you've brought it over. I don't have a picture for you, but we're having baked chicken wings and breasts with honey, pasta fazool (which is like an Italian bean soup but way better) or maybe, baked potatoes, I haven't decided yet, and fresh broccoli for a side.
Here are some pics from online, because it's fun to see the pictures and imagine all the good food everyone is having for dinner tonight.
This is what our pasta fazool looks like, but we don't put carrots in ours.
