I think this was the best era for music.
60's folk got married to R&B
Songs were actually written and perfomed by musicians.
Electronic synthesis was an enhancement not a methodology.
The very best musicians and artists were making things from the heart.
Radio was the platform, and a shared experience for an entire generation.
We all loved these songs together, serious, funny, romantic, whatever it was, we all shared it and listened together, not locked in our own heads with earbuds sequestering us from everyone else.
